Google Docs is free web-based application software that is offered by Google within Google Drive Software. It includes Google Sheets, Google Slides, a presentation program, and a spreadsheet.
Google Docs lets you create, and edit files online, collaborating with other users at the same time. It is available as a desktop app on Chrome OS, and as a web app, mobile app on android, iOS, Blackberry, and Windows.
Margin is the untouched part of a document (bottom, top margins) that does not include text or image. The margin protects you from colliding with the edges of Google Docs (document).
Text that’s too close to the edge of the document looks ugly. Margin (right or left) accommodates binding for printed docs.
