If you are on a computer

Open a message from the Gmail sender.

In the extreme right corner of the email, you will find an icon marked with three horizontally stacked icons. Just click on the icon to open a drop-down menu. From the list select Block followed by the sender’s name.

Now all the messages from the mail address will get directed to Spam Folder.

If you are on a SmartPhone

  • Open a message from the Gmail sender.
  • In the top right corner of the email, you will find an icon marked with three vertical dots. Just click on the icon to open a drop-down menu.
  • From the list select Block followed by the sender’s name.

Follow these instructions to unblock someone on Gmail

  • Go to your inbox’s gear icon and click on the icon. A drop-down menu will appear.
  • From the list of options in that drop-down menu click on “Settings”.
  • Click on the Filter and Address tab.
  • Then check the box of the Gmail Sender you want to unblock and hit unblock.
